오늘은 Royal Rankwick 경마장에 처음 온 날

현재 관람대를 리모델링 중이어서 계속 경마를 하지 않다가 오늘부터 경마를 시작한 곳이다.

여전히 관람대는 공사중이고 내년 초반에 리모델링이 완성된다고 한다. 리모델링을 하면 Rosehill과 더불어 시드니의 대표적인 경마장이 될 것 같다.

 

다른 경주관련 내용들은 특이한 것은 없었으나 제 4경주에서 2위로 도착한 기수가 protest를 하였다.

 

 

 

Group 경주라서 그런지 protest 상황을 경마방송이 들어와 실시간으로 중계를 하였다.

심의결과는 protest upheld, 1위와 2위의 순위변경이었다.

결승선 상에서 방해상황은 크지 않았으나 두 마리간 차이가 코차여서 순위변경이 아래와 같이 결정되었다.

On return to scale a protest was lodged by J Cassidy, rider of second placegetter, Longport, against Norzita (C Brown) being declared the winner, alleging interference over the final 200m. After taking evidence from the parties and viewing the films, the Stewards upheld the objection when they found that near the 150m, as Norzita improved to be on level terms with Longport, that it shifted in, directing that runner in and then again near the 50m Norzita shifted in, on this occasion making contact with Longport, causing that runner to be unbalanced. Bearing in mind the margin being a nose, the Stewards upheld the objection and amended the placings to read:

2nd Norzita
3rd Jade Marauder
4th Dear Demi
