오늘은 Metropolitan Race가 열리는 Rosehill Garden 경마일이다.
오늘 경주 중 Patinack Farm Silver Slipper Stakes에서 우승한 말은 NSW에서 가장 큰 경주인 Golden Slipper 경주에 추첨없이 출전할 수 있는 기회가 주어지는 경주이다.
이곳 호주에서는 큰 경주를 앞두고 전초전으로 이런 경주를 열어 팬들의 관심을 모은다. 멜번컵도 이와 비슷한 경주를 시행한다.
호주에서 가장 유명한 여자조교사인 Gai Waterhouse가 자신이 관리하는 말 중 하나가 TCO2가 기준치 이상으로 검출된 결과를 Murrihy에게 듣고 있다.

App. Y Ichikawa, rider of Agister, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding, the details of the charge being that passing the 200m he permitted his mount to shift out, hampering Maroney Avenue, taking that runner out and causing Keith’s Legacy to be checked when tightened for room between Maroney Avenue and Whitlam, which shifted in slightly after bumping Australian Star. It was further detailed that App. Ichikawa continued to allow Agister to shift out for a number of strides following this incident, which resulted in Maroney Avenue losing its rightful running near the 75m and having to be checked across the heels of Agister. App. Ichikawa’s permit to ride in races was suspended for a period to commence on Sunday 10 March 2013 and to expire on Sunday, 17 March 2013, on which day he may ride.
